En Primeur: Rare Show of Dissent
One Bordeaux story that flew around the web was a Bordeaux négociant’s public refusal to buy a famous Chateau’s 2010 because the price was ‘ludicrous’. ‘At that price the wine deserved to tank in the market’ I tweeted. Bistro du Vin Opening
I’ll be at the opening of the second Bistro du Vin in Soho this Wednesday, pouring some glasses of Jancis’s Wine of the Week (toot toot!). Rosé: A Word of Warning
We loved the note from Rick Stein for the wine list at his Cornish Arms, so we nicked it. “A word of warning about this pale, dry and fruity rosé – it’s very gluggable. Another winner from…” Meanwhile, it’s the only rosé on the front page of the list at his Seafood Restaurant. Delicious in situ, it can also be enjoyed at home.
